Refreshing the search cache
Refreshing the search cache immediately removes the Discovery metadata search cache, empties the Syndetics image cache, reloads the metadata and Discovery search settings from the database, and re-initializes the “Did You Mean?” cache.
If you have issues with Syndetics graphics being incorrect or missing in the Searching interface, refreshing the cache to clear the graphics cache in the database can help to update references and connect them to the correct files.
You must clear the search cache whenever you make configuration changes in the Admin console that affect searching functionality in Searching. Specifically, you must clear the search cache when you make any of these changes:

Add, edit, or delete a profile; select or enable search targets, configure search limits or facet display; and assign any displays to a profile. (For more information, see Managing search profiles.) |

Add, edit, or delete any display codes for Discovery search configuration. (For more information, see Managing display codes .) |

Edit any search fields, or configure any MARC Map settings or any PDF field properties for a search field. (For more information, see Managing search fields .) |
To refresh the search cache

From the navigation pane, choose Refresh Cache. |
When Portfolio has completed refreshing the cache, “Done” appears next to the Refresh Cache command.
